Start with Yes

"Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the

heavens and the earth by your great power and by

your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you."

Jeremiah 32:17

What if instead of looking at the big picture of our lives we said, "Yes" to one thing God is asking of us today? What if instead of looking at the vision we looked at today? Most likely God is asking you to say, "Yes" to something. Maybe it's something huge or maybe it's something small. No matter the size of the "yes" it takes a heart of surrender and faith to say it. We tend to look into the future at the end result or the big picture and say, "No" to God before we ever even think about it simply because in our eyes "it's impossible." Why? Because it is. Everything God does is impossible. We couldn't possibly do it without Him. Yet, He invites us to join Him on the adventure. So, while the big picture looks overwhelming, terrifying, impossible, or ridiculous we can rest in knowing that God is faithful, limitless, and sees the end result. We may never realize how huge that one "yes" we say today is in laying the foundation for the big picture. The impossible starts with that one "yes". It starts with being obedient, surrendering your heart, and walking by faith. How is the Lord calling you to partner with Him? Talking with someone about Jesus, adopting a child, creating a business, building a Rescue Center in Guatemala, etc does not happen with one "yes" to the Lord. These things and many others take many different "yeses" and steps before you ever start to see the complete vision. It takes days, months, and sometimes even years before we start to understand all the simply little "yeses" that made the huge, impossible vision come to life. Yet, it's the "yes" today that matters. It's the heart change that happens over time that allows God to come in and work wonders in our lives. Can you imagine where you would be today if the person that first shared the gospel with you didn't say "yes" to stepping out in faith and expecting God to do the miraculous in your life? I don't know what the Lord is asking you to say "yes" to today, but I know He is asking you to partner with Him in something. Whatever it is, however it looks, no matter the size of the "yes" surrender your will to the Father today. He will bless your obedience. Your heart will be filled. You will watch Him do the impossible in your life. You will get to see people saved, healed, and delivered simply because you said "yes" today! As you go throughout your week focus on what the Lord is asking of you today. Don't let fear, pride, or selfishness keep you from partnering with Him. May you rejoice as you say "yes" to Jesus this week!
