While we were in Guatemala the Lord gave us a vision to not only continue serving "the least of these" in Jacksonville, but to also continue the ministry we started in Poptún when we were there in February. The ministry we partner with in Guatemala only gets to the remote village of Poptún once or twice a year. There are many widows and orphans in this area of Guatemala that need our help and the love of God. We feel that we are called to expand our ministry here in Jacksonville to reach the people of Poptún. Our goal is to open a refuge center in this small village meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the community while partnering with the local church. There are a million details that need to be worked out, but we know that God is calling us to expand our borders. We are excited to step out in faith in this area and believe God will use us and work through us wherever He has us to bring glory to His name. Ministry in Jacksonville will continue to go on as normal as the need here is great! This simply gives more people an opportunity to serve! As we embark on this adventure Light of the World has needs. We need you to continue or begin praying for us. Pray that we would seek God with all our hearts. Pray that God would give us wisdom and discernment. Pray that God's will be done here in Jacksonville and in Guatemala. Pray that God would be glorified through Light of the World! Another need is finances. We know that God will provide everything we need to accomplish His will and we believe He will use people like you to sow into it. When you give to Light of the World you can designate whether you would like to give towards local ministry in Jacksonville or international ministry in Guatemala. Your donations will continue to be tax deductible and will help us take Jesus to the ends of the earth. The final opportunity is to join us on one of our mission trips to Guatemala. It is not an easy trip, but will give you the chance to help people in need, share Jesus with those who have never heard, and send you home with a fresh fire and passion to share the love of God with the lost. Rescue Center Update

As of June 30, 2015 we now own land in Guatemala! This land will be the home of the

Light of the World Rescue Center. We couldn't do it without all your prayers and offerings towards

the purchase of this land. We praise God for you. We were able to get the roof painted while there

and some of the locals from the church went through and cleaned up the entire property for us. It

already looks amazing! We have lots of plans for this piece of property, but we have a lot of work to

do before we officially open as a rescue center. Our first step is to get the house that is already

on the land to a livable status. This house will home the missionaries that will run the center. This will include things like fixing the doors and windows, updating the electric and plumbing, roof work, and getting the house furnished. Please continue to pray for the future of our ministry in Poptún, Guatemala and pass the word along to others that will also pray and give as the Lord leads. Thank you!
